چکیده

A distributed active and reactive power control (DARPC) strategy based on the alternating direction method of multipliers (ADMM) is proposed for regional AC transmission system (TS) with wind farms (WFs). The DARPC optimizes distribution among WFs to minimize losses TS while tracking reference from operator (TSO), minimizes voltage deviation buses inside WF rated as well collection system. optimal flow (OPF) relaxed by using semidefinite programming (SDP) relaxation branch model used In strategy, large-scale strongly-coupled optimization problem decomposed ADMM, which solved in controller controllers parallel without loss global optimality. boundary information exchanged between controllers. Compared conventional OPF WFs, optimality accuracy operation can be improved. Moreover, efficiently reduces computation burden eliminates need a central controller. protection privacy enhanced. modified IEEE 9-bus two consisting 64 turbines (WTs) validate strategy.

Model Predictive Control of a BCDFIG With Active and Reactive Power Control Capability for Grid-Connected Applications

Recently, Brushless Cascaded Doubly Fed Induction Generator (BCDFIG) has been considered as an attractive choice for grid-connected applications due to its high controllability and reliability. In this paper, a Finite Control Set Model Predictive Control (FCS-MPC) method with active and reactive power control capability in grid-connected mode is proposed for controlling the BCDFIG in a way that...

Active power control design for supporting grid frequency regulation in wind farms

Among renewable energy sources, wind power is expected to contribute a larger and rapidly growing portion of the world’s energy portfolio. However, the increased penetration of wind power into the power grid has challenged the reliable and stable operation of the grid. This motivates new opportunities in the design and development of novel control schemes capable of actively maintaining the nec...

Sliding-Mode-based Improved Direct Active and Reactive Power Control of Doubly Fed Induction Generator under Unbalanced Grid Voltage Condition

This paper proposes an improved direct active and reactive power control (DPC) strategy for a grid-connected doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) based wind-turbine system under unbalanced grid voltage condition. The method produces required rotor voltage references based on the sliding mode control (SMC) approach in stationary reference frame, without the requirement of synchronous coordinate...

Fuzzy based power control of a hybrid active wind generator for distributed power generation

A dc-coupled wind/hydrogen/super capacitor hybrid power system using fuzzy logic is studied in this paper. The purpose of the control system is to coordinate these different sources, particularly their power exchange, in order to make controllable the generated power. As a result, an active wind generator can be built to provide some ancillary services to the grid. The control system should be ...
